March Madness Dispatch
INDIANAPOLIS, IN — After nearly a month, it is now down to two teams to battle for ‘last team standing’ rights.
Senior guard Morgan Tuck scored nine of her game high 21 points, as favorite Connecticut trounced Oregon State 80-51 Sunday in the first semifinals here at the 2016 Women’s Final Four.
The second semifinals was just like the first as Syracuse’s pressure overwhelmed Washington 80-59.
On the surface Tuesday’s final will be a battle of which team can get to 80 first — the favorite Huskies or the surprising Orange women.
A reporter sitting next to me basically said it could be an ugly game.
The MSR will provide further coverage on the final college hoops weekend of the 2015-16 season.
