Tragically and with great remorse, the family of Mike Glenn announce his passing August 25, 2017.
Mike was born the fifth of five children to Mr. Willie James Glenn and Mrs. Cassie W. “Lewis” Glenn on April 29, 1974. Mike attended Nativity of Mary School (Bloomington, MN) and St. Peter’s Catholic School (Richfield, MN) grades K-8. He graduated from Bloomington Jefferson High School (Bloomington, MN), earning his high school diploma.
Mike worked many years as principal youth counselor for St. Joseph’s Home for Children. He was a licensed barber and personal care attendant. Mike loved eating at Cedar Inn Restaurant (Mpls), watching wrestling, training his pit bull puppies “Butch and Max” preparing dinner for his mom and spending time with friends.
Mike often commented that his greatest accomplishment was the birth of twin daughters.
Mike is preceded in death by his father, James Glenn. He is survived by twin daughters Nia Elizabeth Sullivan Glenn and Imani Victoria Sullivan Glenn; mother Cassie Lewis; sisters Brenda Louise Glenn-Couch (Gary), Toni Darboe (Dembo) and Daphne Cohen (Michael); brother Willie James Jr.; eight nieces and four nephews.
Funeral was directed by Estes Funeral Chapel, 2210 Plymouth Ave. N., Minneapolis, MN, 55411. Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery, 5901 Lyndale Ave. S., Minneapolis, MN 55419.
