Lillian Louise Smith passed away on October 6, 2018, at the age of 95. Lillian was born to Henry and Lillian Schofield on July 11, 1923, in Minneapolis, MN. Her nickname was Choo Choo.
Lillian retired from the Main Minneapolis Public Library. After staying at home for a few years, she went back to work and was employed as a receptionist for WCCO Television.
Lillian is preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings (Grigsbys and Schofields) and granddaughter Elise Simpson.
She is survived by Gwendolyn Dillion (sister), Judy Baker (daughter); grandchildren John (Sonja), Melissa Simpson, and Dana Rivera (nephew); great-grandchildren Jua, Safiya, Christopher, Davis, Marianna, Marsalis; and a large, loving family and a host of loving friends.
At Lillian’s request, no memorial is being planned.
