The Minneapolis-St. Paul Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, in affiliation with Delta Research and Educational Foundation (DREF), invites you to attend the upcoming 22nd Annual Literary Luncheon. This year’s luncheon theme, “Loving Yourself Through The Journey Within A Woman’s Quest for Wholeness,” will focus on mental health and wellness.
Our 2019 featured speaker, nationally acclaimed actress Jenifer Lewis is one of Hollywood’s most familiar faces, with more than 300 appearances in film and television. Dubbed a “national treasure” by TV Guide.com, Jenifer stars on the ABC hit show Blackish, where her hilarious portrayal of “Ruby Johnson” earned her a nomination for the 2016 Critics Choice Award.
This “Mega Diva” will engage the audience with candor and warmth, as she shares excerpts from her book, The Mother of Black Hollywood – memoir of a Midwestern girl with a dream whose quest for wholeness becomes a harrowing and inspiring tale, including revelations of bipolar disorder. Jenifer’s bestselling memoir was named “2018 Book of the Year” at the National Book Club.
