Rev. Kenneth Wheeler will be the keynote speaker at this community event that aims to explore the human side of Dr. King — a human being with strengths, weaknesses, flaws, and gifts.
Wheeler is a retired pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America who has served as an anti-racism trainer in the Greater Milwaukee Synod and on the board for the Commission for Multicultural Ministries. In 2012, he was a recipient of the Milwaukee Black Excellence Award, honored as a religious leader. Keynote remarks will be at 9 am; Worship Service is at 11 am; Community lunch is at 12 pm.
The event is free and open to the public. No RSVP is required. For more information, go to http://bit.do/LutheranSeminaryMLK.
