On Thursday, December 21 members of Mayor-elect Jacob Frey’s policy committee will solicit input from community members at the Urban Research and Outreach-Engagement Center (UROC) in North Minneapolis.
Frey’s policy committee, chaired by Council Vice President Elizabeth Glidden and Abou Amara, will facilitate a dialogue with members from around the community. The meeting at UROC will be the second of three community listening sessions.
Feedback collected during the discussions will be delivered directly to Frey and used to help drive Frey’s policy agenda and set his administration’s budget priorities. The forum is free and open to the public. Somali, Spanish, and Hmong interpreters will be on hand. The event begins at 6 pm.
Members of the policy committee will highlight Frey’s commitment to improving police-community relations, increasing the city’s affordable housing stock, and building an inclusive local economy.
