Five weeks into the season, the 2012 Vikings remain one of the surprise stories in the NFL. Last year the Vikings, 3-13, lost several games in which they blew early leads and made mistakes that cost them. So far in 2012, Head Coach Leslie Frazier has a team that has bought into his quiet, respectful approach to coaching.

Victory is so sweet, especially when you work hard, change your approach to everything you do, and things just work out. Sunday the Vikings were looking for a fresh start after a miserable 2011 season when they finished 3-13. Getting players to buy into what you’re doing takes positive results. For the Vikings, it started with winning at home and finding a way to somehow start turning this program around from the depths of the NFC North. GREEN BAY — It’s no longer a rivalry, folks — it has turned into a one-sided reality show in which the Minnesota Vikings can no longer compete with the Green Bay Packers. Green Bay beat the Vikings for the fourth straight time Monday night, sweeping the season series for the second straight year.
