Suddenly there’s no stopping the World Champion Miami Heat. Being around this group after they dismantled the under-manned Minnesota Timberwolves 97-81, it’s apparent their main objective Monday night at Target Center before 18,391 fans was to win and not get trapped in a snowstorm. “We saw the forecast,” said Dwyane Wade, who scored a game-high 32 points and 10 assists. “We heard it might be coming.”

The defending NBA Champions did not play their best game, with 23 turnovers; but with the Timberwolves’ injury issues, having three starters out, the Heat had to be ready for a fight. MIAMI — For all those who pulled against LeBron James because he made a decision that you disagreed with for his future — this one’s for you. I was really kind of surprised at the nearly 3-1 margin of fans on Facebook-Twitter-media and fans of basketball that picked against the Miami Heat vs. the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals. Miami won the decisive game five 121-106 in a rout to capture the first title for the famed Big Three, James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, in South Beach. Heat again lead NBA Finals 2-1

 

 

MIAMI — Not many teams win NBA Finals games shooting 37 percent. However, the Miami Heat have rallied; after droppinggame one of the Finals 105-94, the Heat have taken a two-games-to-one lead by calming the Oklahoma City Thunder in the pivotal game three 91-85. History says 85 percent of the teams that win game three when the Finals are even at 1-1 go on to win the championship. As recently as last year, the Heat led Dallas 2-1 in the Finals, yet the Mavericks were one of those teams in that group of 15 percent to rally and win.
