Here are some of the top metro area girls’ basketball players from the Class of 2014. I am sure there are more out there, but as a writer I am willing to take that chance. Exciting state tournament ahead

 

It should be quite the state tournament this weekend. Two teams are hoping for a three-peat. Two city conference teams made it to the tournament, and a host of Division I signees will be participating. In Class 4A, Hopkins hopes to make it a three-peat, led by McDonald All-American and Northwestern University signee NIA COFFEY, track phenom TAYLOR ANDERSON, and ERIN O’TOOLE, NIA HOLLIE, RACHEL ORBUCH and MIKAALA SHACKELFORD. Georgetown signee JADE MARTIN, juniors KANISHA BELL and TONIA WADE, freshman KIARA RUSSELL, and eighth-grader JASMYN MARTIN have Bloomington Kennedy back in their first tournament in seven years.
