The American dream, is a dream rooted in every Black and White person. The events that have unfolded in Ferguson, MO show the people of America and the world that we have a long way to go when it comes to race relationships. If the powers that be in Ferguson, MO truly want justice, then arrest the accused officer that shot Michael Brown. I am sure that will deflate a lot of the tension. When are we going to stop letting racist police set back our humanity and make it seem like a crime when Black people ask for justice. Continue Reading →

There are a set of rules that go with being intelligent. Black men of America, wake up and smell the funk of failures. The bad taste in our minds and mouths is the rot of our thinking and talking points. Where is the round tree dialogue, so we can have discussions on our family, history and future? White Minnesotans policy is to keep Blacks below the poverty line, not just in economics but also in life. There are two sets of rules in Minnesota, one for its Black citizens and one for its White citizens. It is evident through the judicial system that there is an imbalance between Blacks and Whites in Minnesota and that Lady Justice needs to put her blindfold back on. Continue Reading →

Letter to the Editor: A call for 21st century Black consciousness

First of all, our greatest gift to America is our humble humanity. Black people, we are in deep trouble with our Afro-American ideology. The responsibility of a community concerns everybody living in that community, whether you are rich or poor. We have fewer tomorrows than we had yesterdays. From slavery to today the White majorities haven’t allowed us to accumulate too many positive economic attributes. Continue Reading →
