New year. New you. Do you remember telling yourself in December, “This year, I will exercise more, I will lose weight, I will eat healthier?”
Did your New Year’s Resolution sound similar? You started out with an energetic burst! You kicked your healthy living lifestyle into full gear by cutting back on sweets, eating more salads and exercising more.
February came and you ate not just one piece, but five pieces of chocolates that your sweetie got you for Valentine’s Day. You did this every day until that yummy box of chocolates was gone. Then you missed a couple of workouts. After that, your spark to start over was gone, and you said, “I’ll pick up this healthy thing a little later when I have more time.”
You’re not alone. It happens all the time. When we misstep on our health and fitness journey, instead of understanding that we are normal and taking two positive steps forward, we keep stepping backwards, which takes us even further away from our goals. We see our goal as overwhelming and have no clue as to how to start again.
This is where I fit into your life. My name is Tish Watson, and I am the owner, operator and head trainer of Body By Tish. I am a personal trainer and a fitness nutrition coach who believes in inspiring people through food, fitness and fun!
My motto is “Get Fit. Get Healthy. Get Moving.” My core focus is helping people to live healthier lifestyles by teaching effective fitness routines combined with nutritional guidance to maximize calorie burn, transform bodies, and changing a person’s outlook on healthy for life.
Staying active is important, but I am also passionate about nutrition and food education. An active lifestyle plus healthy eating is the winning combination to not only weight and body transformation, but this “1-2 punch” also improves your mood and reduces the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol levels and diabetes.
And yes, eating healthy can be delicious. So, whether you are just thinking about a healthier lifestyle, desire to lose weight, want to reduce body fat, increase endurance, or looking to improve your cardiovascular health and well-being, I am here to show you how.
I will share nutrition tips and healthy, but yummy recipes to incorporate into your daily diet. Are you thinking just broccoli and complicated recipes? Well, let me ease your mind. You won’t spend hours in the kitchen cooking, and these healthy recipes are tasty and easy to make.
If you’re new to all this healthy stuff, or if you have ditched your “I’m getting healthy and will lose weight” resolutions, let’s get back on track. I’m not expecting you to go from the couch to a marathon run, or from pizza to kale by this afternoon, but I do hope that after reading this you’re ready to make a change.
My goal is to help you start today. Start small, but start. Stay tuned. “Healthy Dish By Tish” is here to get you back on track.
