Scholars of Minnesota-COPE (Creating Opportunities for Post-secondary Education) Project will be holding its Ninth Annual Scholarship Program/Gala and Fundraiser on Sunday, August 17, 2014 from 4:30 to 8:00 pm at the beautiful Airport Hilton Hotel in Bloomington, Minnesota.
The gala is COPE’s annual scholarship celebration where the proceeds will fund scholarships for the 2014 academic year. This event features a dinner (at 5pm) and a silent auction. We will recognize students in several categories including: Scholars’ ACT/SAT Perfect Attendance, Outstanding Volunteer Community Service, Highest GPA, and Participation Awards. Additionally, we will acknowledge other great accomplishments of our scholar members while they are attending high school and post-secondary institutions.
You will enjoy excellent presentations by Scholar Member Brandon Richardson Hill, who will share his experiences as a White House Intern. Scholar Jesus Santos Vega Zaragoza will share his experience touring China for two weeks.
COPE’s special guest speaker for the evening will be Cearah Mariah Hamilton, National Miss Black U.S Ambassador 2014, and founder of the PurityMovement.
