News Brief
After being picked fourth overall by Connecticut in Thursday’s WNBA draft, Rachel Banham says she is almost talked out.
However, the former Minnesota guard briefly talked to the MSR after being selected by the Sun. “I didn’t have any idea but I am glad it’s over,” said Banham. Both her mom and dad, along with her college coaches Marlene Stollings and Nikita Dawkins shared in her excitement.
She said she’s on an early morning flight Friday to return to the Cities, then she will get packed and return back East for training camp later this month.
“I can’t wait,” she said.
More on our interview with Rachel Banham later on the MSR web site.
