Forty of the state’s outstanding senior boys and girls basketball players will compete in the 23rd Inner City All-Star Classic. A doubleheader will be played Sunday, May 15, at Schoenecker Arena on the campus of St. Thomas University.
The event will tip off with a girls’ game between Team Faith and Team Truth at 3 pm, followed by the boys’ game between Team Wisdom and Team Knowledge at 5 pm.

The girls’ game Team Faith — coached by Crystal Flint (Minneapolis North) — will feature St. John’s University (N.Y.) signee Andrayah Adams (St. Paul Como Park), while guard Kiara Russell (Osseo), headed to Arizona State University, will lead Team Truth, coached by Tanysha Scott (Minneapolis DeLaSalle).

The boys’ game will feature Xavier Johnson (Hopkins) leading Team Wisdom — coached by John Robinson (Como Park). Team Knowledge, coached by Larry McKenzie (Minneapolis North) will be led by Tyler Johnson (Minneapolis North).
The first game was played in 1994. The girls’ game was added in 2001.
