Goanar Mar, Gabe Kalscheur and Tyrell Terry helped DeLaSalle captured its sixth consecutive Class 3A state boys basketball championship last week defeating Austin 72-44 at the Target Center.
George Mason University signee Mar, a 6′-7″ senior forward, led the way with 28 points. Six-foot- three junior guard Kalscheur had 12, 5′- 11″ senior back-court mate Terry added 11, while Sage Booker, Dominique Bledsoe and Christian Dickson played mistake-free ball in leading the Islanders to victory.
DeLaSalle hasn’t lost a state championship since capturing the title 2012.

The Islanders’ championship streak includes victories over Minneapolis Washburn (2012), Austin (2013), Austin (2014), St. Paul Johnson (2015) and Fergus Falls (2016).
Mar, Kalscheur and Terry were named to the all-tournament team.
