For the fourth year in row, Minneapolis North is headed back to the state tournament under Head Coach Charles Adams.
The Polars defeated Maple Lake 44-30 to give them the Class 2A Section 4AA title shot at a second consecutive state championship. North has many players who have contributed to their recent success.
Armon Dalton leads the team at quarterback. Kiareion Bellfield and Kehyan Porter form one of the state’s top backfields. The receiving core is stacked with Tayler Johnson, Omar Brown, Nasir El-Amin, Corleon Powell and Porter.
Odell Wilson, Da’Koi Hines, Phaizon Scott, Quentrail Travis, Carlon Manning, Farlanders Ross, Bellfield, Johnson and Porter lead the Polars’ defense.
They play Caledonia in the first round of the Class 2A state tournament at Burnsville High School next Friday evening.
