The Minneapolis Public Housing Authority (MPHA) will be hosting a series of informational meetings on its proposed 2019 “Moving To Work” plan. Two informational sessions were held August 15; a second public hearing will be held on August 22.
According to the MPHA’s website, the Moving To Work program enables designated housing authorities to implement innovative, locally-designed strategies for providing low-income families with affordable housing. A draft MTW annual plan was released July 20 online and in the MPHA offices for public review.
Instead of the standard annual plan and report most public housing authorities file with HUD, MTW agencies like MPHA file an MTW Annual Plan and MTW Annual Report (in a format prescribed by HUD).
