Tyus Jones, coming home for the first time since being traded to Memphis Grizzlies (6-13), scored 12 points to help his team defeat the Minnesota Timberwolves 115-107 at the Target Center on Dec. 1.
Dillon Brooks led the winners with 26 points. Grayson Allen added 13, and Jae Crowder, Jaren Jackson Jr, and De’Anthony Melton each chipped 12. Karl-Anthony Towns led the Timberwolves with 21 points, while Andrew Wiggins had 18, Jarett Culver 14, Robert Covington 13 and Keita Bates-Diop chipped in 10.
Jones, a former Apple Valley and Duke University star, spent his first four years in the NBA with the Wolves. He was honored by his former team during a break in the action.
