The Minnesota Timberwolves (10-15) — who got 34 points from Karl-Anthony Towns and 34 from Andrew Wiggins — nearly overcame a 27-point deficit before losing 124-117 to the Los Angeles Clippers (20-7) at the Target Center last Friday evening.
Paul George led the Clippers with 46 points, Kawhi Leonard had 42 and Montrezl Harrell added 18. Jeff Teague’s 22 points and Robert Covington’s 10 rounded out the double scoring for the Minnesota.
