The world’s most famous bully “Deebo” has passed away. Tommy “Tiny” Lister died on Thursday at the age of 62. According to reports, his manager Cindy Cowan said he had a bout of COVID earlier this year and had reported suffering breathing difficulties last week.
He was found on Thursday unconscious in his Marina Del Rey (CA) home after authorities performed a wellness check after friends reported not hearing from him.
Lister, who was born blind in his right eye, began his career as a pro wrestler. He played various characters in his Hollywood career, including roles in the HBO football series “1st & Ten” and movies “Beverly Hills Cop II,” and “No Holds Barred.” He also starred in the sci-fi action film, “The Fifth Element,” and most recently appeared in the box office smash hit, “The Dark Knight.”
But Lister is best known for his performances in the “Friday” movie series—“Friday” (1995) and “Next Friday (2000), which also starred Ice Cube, Chris Tucker, and John Witherspoon.
Co-star Ice Cube wrote this about Lister on social media: “America’s favorite bully was a born entertainer who would pop into character at the drop of a hat terrifying people on and off camera… followed by a big smile and laugh. Thank you for being a good dude at heart. I miss you already.”
