The Minneapolis VA Medical Center has 400 Moderna COVID-19 vaccines that need to be administered.
Marking a change from its normal vaccination process, which is based on age, the Minneapolis VA Medical Center is offering veterans a walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Monday, February 15 from 9 am to 4 pm. No appointment needed.
Veterans who are frontline essential workers of any age are invited, as well as all veterans 65 and older. Veterans must commit to returning in four weeks for a second dose. The V.A. is now offering this to both enrolled and non-enrolled veterans (you must bring your DD214 form to the clinic).
Veterans who are frontline essential workers that are eligible include:
- First responders (e.g., firefighters and police)
- Corrections officers
- Food and agriculture workers
- U.S. Postal Service workers
- Manufacturing workers
- Grocery store workers
- Public transit workers
- Those who work in the education sector (teachers and support staff members)
- Childcare workers
- Healthcare workers

After you recipients receive a COVID-19 vaccine, they should still wear a mask that covers their mouth and nose and follow CDC guidelines, including social distancing and hand washing.
