Rainelle Jones, a 6’3” University of Maryland senior middle blocker has become one of the top volleyball players in the Big 10 this season. The Oxon Hill, Maryland, native had 11 kills in the Terrapins’ 3-2 upset of the then-No. 2-ranked University of Wisconsin on the Badgers’ home court on Friday, September 24, 2021.
Jones had three kills and two blocks in a 3-0 loss to the No.9-ranked University of Minnesota Golden Gophers Sunday, September 26 at Maturi Pavilion. She is currently Maryland’s second leader in kills with 99. Jones chose Maryland over Minnesota, North Carolina State, North Carolina, and Virginia.
