Twin Cities Steppers Association (TCSA) founder Kevin Johnson only expected around 200 people at his first Twin Cities Music and Movement Festival, so he was thrilled to see 500 people show up throughout the day.
The free festival, held on August 13 at Western Sculpture Park in St. Paul, was “a great time to bring the community together,” Johnson said. He envisioned a park full of people dancing and enjoying good music and food and that’s exactly what occurred thanks to the soulful sounds of The Max Band, No Unlimited the B-side and more.
