April 26 @ 7:00 pm-9:00 pm
$25
This is the 22nd year of LUNAFEST®: Seven Short Films By and About Women®
LUNAFEST®, the fundraising film festival dedicated to championing women filmmakers and bringing people together in their communities, will be hosted by the Minnesota Peacebuilding Leadership Institute in person at the Riverview Theater and virtually on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. The in-person screening is 7-9 pm CT. The virtual screening is available beginning at 7 pm for the following 48 hours.
LUNAFEST features a program of short films that empower and inspire. This year’s stories are told from a variety of perspectives that champion women and gender-nonconforming individuals, highlighting their aspirations, accomplishments, resilience, strength, and connection. Join us.
This year, our Honorary LUNAFEST Chairwoman Lisa Morris-Helmstetler, Olmsted County Administrator, is facilitating our peacebuilding training with county employees and residents.
All proceeds from LUNAFEST: Minneapolis will benefit Minnesota Peacebuilding Leadership Institute to catalyze positive racial healing, equity, and social change in our communities.
Thus far, LUNAFEST, which is created and funded by LUNA®, has raised more than $6.5 Million for nonprofit organizations, featured 170 women filmmakers, and hosted over 2,700 screenings across the US and Canada. More information: https://www.lunafest.org/
