15th Annual Community Empowerment Through Black Men Healing Conference
June 22 @ 9:00 am-June 23 @ 12:30 pm

We invite you to the 15th Annual Community Empowerment Through Black Men Healing Conference held on June 22 & 23, 2023, at Metropolitan State University. On June 25th, 2009, we brought together professionals, community practitioners, men and women, and anyone interested to consider the question, “Could a focus on black men’s healing be a way to empower the community?” In this 15th year, we will reexamine that question and explore practical trauma-informed, culture-sensitive outcome-driven current and future approaches that can lead to community empowerment, safety, and healing.
The Conference called “Groundbreaking and Visionary” was established in 2009 to offer alternative ways of thinking about community building “from the inside out,” not just “the outside in” to explore trauma-informed, culture-sensitive outcome-driven approaches that lead to community healing and empowerment.
The Conference is open to individuals of all cultures working with the African American community or interested in the topic. For updates, additional information is available at www.brothershealing.com.
