Organist of the Royal Albert Hall (London, UK), famous for her viral midnight rehearsals on TikTok, Lapwood brings humor and youthful joie de vivre to her instrument. Her program will include a suite from Hans Zimmer’s Interstellar and an exploration of the plethora of colors found on the Northrop organ—from the softest flutes in Debussy’s Clair de Lune to the most earth-shattering fortissimo in Philip Glass’s Mad Rush, plus Florence Price’s jazz-soaked organ music, masterpieces from Bach and Vierne, and musical storytelling from the young Armenian composer Kristina Arakelyan.
