Can Cities Rebound from Racial Tension?
June 9, 2021 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm
A discussion on leading through adversity. With rise of Black Lives Matter protests in the wake of cities confronting their racist reputations, municipalities that rely on tourism and corporate dollars to uplift their annual budgets are faced with negative public images that can greatly hinder their progress. As James Baldwin famously said, “you cannot change what you do not confront.” Tourism professions and reputation experts from Minneapolis, Louisville and other regions will talk about what cities must do to confront their present realities and move forward. This is a virtual event that is open to the public. Advanced registration is required. Visit whttps://ncbmp.com/ for more information
