Community Safety: We Deserve Better
April 28 @ 12:00 pm-1:30 pm
Free
Increasing community safety for members of the African American community is more than a priority. It could mean the difference between surviving or thriving. In 2022 we all deserve to feel safe and be provided safety in our neighborhoods.
On Thursday, April 28, join AALF’s Community Safety conversation featuring a roundtable discussion with distinguished panelists Justin Terrell, Kevin Reese, Elizer Darris, Ayolanda Mack, and Dr. Yohuru Williams. Anika Bowie will serve as moderator.
We’ll be discussing the impacts of current policing, trauma, and prison reform. We’ll share solutions from the leaders in our community who are interrupting those current systems and structures to make our neighborhoods safer.
