Hamline University to Host a Production of Thunder Knocking on the Door

March 4 @ 7:00 pm-9:00 pm

Free

Thunder Knocking at the Door is a mythical tale that takes place at the crossroads of “here and there,” where Marvell Thunder, a mysterious shapeshifter, challenges Glory, a blind songstress, to a magical duel on the Delta Blues guitar. If he wins the contest, he wins the guitar of Jaguar Dupree Sr., Glory’s late father and the only man who ever outplayed Marvell in a cutting contest; if she wins, she gets her sight back.

Marcela Lorca directs the show, with music direction by Sanford Moore. The cast features Ronnie Allen, Brian Bose, Rajané Katurah, Greta Oglesby and T. Mychael Rambo.

The show is free and best for those 14 and older. Tickets can be obtained by emailing tickets@Hamline.edu.
