Hands Across the Mississippi Walk for Peace and Justice

September 30 @ 10:00 am-3:30 pm

Free

Many of our communities have been traumatized in recent years from the violence and injustices present in their everyday lives. This stand up and demonstrate our commitment to build a better world, where all are treated with dignity and respect.

As a show of support for those victims of violence and injustice and to demonstrate a commitment to build a better world where all are treated with dignity and respect, many places of worship and nonprofit organizations will come together to walk for Peace and Justice on September 30. The Walk will start at Brackett Park in Minneapolis, and participants will walk both sides of the river and congregate at the Lake St./Marshall Ave bridge as the mayors of Minneapolis and St. Paul meet to commit to work to resist all forms of violence.

Following the ceremony on the bridge, a gathering at the Danish American Center will be held with music, speakers and refreshments.
All who share this commitment are welcome to join.
