Welcome to our 6th edition of your restorative, empowering and rejuvenating self-care escape. This multi-sensory experience focuses on your renewal, the cleansing and nourishment of all senses of the mind and body, support of your nervous system, and the expansion of your wellness practices, all in a whole-listic way.

We invite you into a space intentionally curated to ignite the senses with tastes of healing and nourishing alkaline food and drinks, scents to calm and ground, and sessions to expand and cleanse the respiratory system through breathwork, a slow flow grounding and restorative yoga practice, and the opportunity to immerse in the vibrations of a sound bath while enjoying the heated pool, cold plunge, sauna and steam room.

There will be amble time to ease into the flow and be in community and enjoy the healing stations with a crystal marketplace and affirmation decks to empower. Bathe in the serotonin vibes and join us!

In this experience you will get to:
Immerse in a totally relaxing environment to focus on self-restoration
Engage in a 45 minute breathwork session with Aneka McMullen of Aneka Dance in a health focused, aromatically charges serene environment
Participate in a 45 minute yoga session with Kelly Shay of Harmonious World in a beautifully recreated restorative environment
Relax in a 45 minute sound bath session with Tamiko French of SoulSpeak Expressions in the spa bath facility with access to warm and cold pools, sauna and steam room
Savor an alkaline catered meal to support digestion and complement the wellness sessions
Hydrate and nourish with healthful drinks and supplements that promote wellness
Expand your wellness toolkit with tools, resources, and vendors available during the retreat and in the goodie bags
Enjoy additional restorative services and resources (TBD)
Network with other like minded individuals to support your wellness journey

Kelly Shay
Visionary Kelly Shay has an extensive community and social services background with over two decades spent on enriching the lives of others and advocating for marginalized communities. Her career has been focused on the teaching of self-sufficiency skills, environmental sustainability, youth development, family and community engagement, artistic expression, and mind/body wellness. She began teaching yoga in 2013 and has since then led yoga classes for pregnant women, mamas + babies, children of all ages, families, and adults. She has developed workshops for girls, women, BIPOC, and LGBTQ communities, in addition to being trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) which has been used in her work with teen parents. She holds a B.S. in African American Studies, Youth Studies, and Family Social Science with a minor in Theatre Arts from the University of Minnesota. In 2020, she founded Harmonious World and as the Creative Director designs events weaving together the arts and wellness industries and creating equitable access and healing and empowering experiences for communities. Through the Harmonious Wellness (DBA) branch, Kelly provides nutrition and holistic health services as a certified Regenerative Health Practitioner, supports clients with herbalism and detoxification protocols, iridology, teaches plant-based cooking classes, offers private 1:1 yoga and meditation sessions, and most recently is accepting bodywork clients for abdominal and prenatal massage.

Tamiko French
A multi disciplined creative focused on building intentional spaces for relaxation and meditation for collective and personal wellness and expansion. She has served her communities through performance art, functional vibrational crystal work, crafting jewelry and art, as well as her practice of sound healing. Her vibrationally charged work has been featured at Rituals in Midtown Global Market, various pop up shops, and resident at Chicago Avenue Fire Arts Center where she is a teacher, welding artist. In 2020, she added sound healing to her array of services in response to the rising need of safe calm space from the murder of George Floyd, the pandemic stressors and the homeless displacement where many volunteers and homeless needed some form of calm. This led to partnering with her community members to form Wellness Wednesday. After experiencing her own healing with alternative wellness practices, including sound and meditation, she began sharing her passion for vibrational wellness with the community weekly. She has been accredited with the International Natural Healers Association and SoulRemember Academy (UK) with focus on Crystal Gridding, Crystal Healing, Chakra Healing (including mudra work), Sound Healing, and has been featured at SALT Salon and Spa, Abbott Hospital and Mother Baby Center and featured in her Directorial debut in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival production”The Beautiful Ugly.” Her interdisciplinary multi-sensory experience in vibrational healing arts has been showcased at Chicago Fire Arts Center in a 4 month exhibit called “The Eye Beholds.” Her brand of jewelry adornments have been used from anything to pregnancy health, female issues, pain, circulation, depression and more. Her current focus is bringing this work collaboratively to corporate, educational, and other workspaces creating equity and access for all. Her current projects include SoulFood Sessions partnered with Aneka McMullen, and Radical Senses of Love+Power, a collaboration with Aneka McMullen and Kelly Shay.

Aneka McMullen
Independent Dancer/Performing Artist, Dance Educator, Choreographer, Advanced Practice Esthetician and Pranayama practitioner Aneka McMullen lives to dance through life, inspire & connect with people through her passion for movement of all types. She hails from Minneapolis and holds a BFA in dance from The Ohio State University. Her extensive dance experience includes dynamic skills in the genres of West African, Afro Modern, Modern, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Liturgical & Improvisation/Freestyle.
Aneka is a co- founder and artistic director of Epitome-No Question, an open Old Skool Hip Hop dance ensemble dedicated to celebrating the community conscious roots of Hip Hop culture through dance theater. In 2009 Aneka began developing her practice as an internal movement practitioner by integrating the internal rhythms & physically healing balance of breathwork with dance, and has been sharing her fusion of breathwork and dance with students, colleagues, clients and various communities throughout Minneapolis and St. Paul. Current community work includes SoulFood Sessions partnered with Tamiko French as well as, Radical Senses of Love + Power in collaboration with Kelly Shay and Tamiko French.

This event is in-person only
Tickets are $180 and will include a wellness goodie bag and all the experiences mentioned above.
You will need to bring a swim suit (towels provided) if you plan to immerse in the spa bath facility where the sound bath will take place. There are lockers, changing rooms, and showers.
Shortly after arrival, after our large group welcome, the group will be divided into three groups. You will rotate through different optional sessions in groups of 15.
