Sophisticated African Fashion Show is a collaboration between a local Business, Tropictrends, 250 Second Avenue south Minneapolis Minnesota, and Fire On The Runway, Afia Neka, Ghana. This annual event was created to highlight the beauty of the colors and culture of the Motherland. African Fashion has such rich history, from handwoven fabrics to beautiful beaded accessories and artwork; it’s a real Lifestyle.

Sophisticated African Fashion seeks to participate in the development goals of the Midwest by remaining sustainable.

Africa is a continent made of 54 countries, this year we will highlight West Africa by featuring designers from Ivory Coast, Ghana, and Nigeria.

Join the experience. Enjoy the sounds of authentic African Music, witness the uniqueness of the designers and their crafts, and learn about the different cultural of their heritage. In the meantime, we will shine the light on a couple of success stories of African Immigrants and their contribution to the State of Minnesota.
