The Coalition to Increase Teachers of Color American Indian Teachers Summer Conference

August 10 @ 5:30 pm-8:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 8:30 am, repeating until August 11, 2022

The Coalition to Increase Teachers of Color and American Indian Teachers is hosting “Reconnect, Renew, Re-commit” in August at Metro State University. This conference will tend to hearts, engage minds and enliven hope as we continue the work to increase the percentage of Teachers of Color and American Indian Teachers in Minnesota schools!

On Wednesday, Aug 10th from 5:30-8:00pm, there will be a dinner with a keynote speaker as well as live entertainment and time for networking and socializing. The following day, from 8:30-3:45pm, will be a full day of community dialogue and coalition building via panels, roundtables and breakout sessions.

This conference is important for sustaining our work and building the momentum of the Coalition and its partners. This past legislative session did not yield what we had hoped.
