The Purple Day
June 3 @ 12:00 pm-7:00 pm
Free
The Purple Day is June 3rd, 2023 at Phyllis Wheatley Field. The field was chosen because it is a historical site where Prince used to perform annually for free. Back in the day, it was called the Wheatley Festival. Since the death of our beloved hometown talent Prince, N Love Promotions decided to have a Purple Day dedicated to the Purple One.
The Purple Day will affiliate everything around the color Purple, with performances, fashion, and spoken word in remembrance of The Purple One. The Day will recognize Twin Cities artists (painters), with Special guest performances by Twin Cities Artists (TBA). There will be food trucks with a taste of originality from the Twin Cities. Vendors with information and merchandise will be available. Bring your lawn chairs and wear your purple cause we’re going to Party like it’s 1999. Due to the coronavirus and the violence in the Twin Cities, this would be a very special thank you to our Artists for painting the moment as they see it.
