Pet Haven of Minnesota will host “Weekend Whiskers! Cat Meet and Book Signing” for cat lovers on April 23 from noon to 3 p.m. It will be held at their facility (505 West Minnehaha Ave., St. Paul) which opened last year in the Rondo/Frogtown area of St. Paul.

The event is an opportunity to cuddle with adoptable cats and celebrate the latest Chicken Soup for the Soul book — it’s all about cats! Pet Haven volunteer and contributing writer, Mary Christine Kane will be available to sign copies of Chicken Soup for the Soul: Lessons Learned from My Cat.

Kane’s story documenting the beginning of her cat-fostering journey is included in the collection. Kane and other volunteers will be available to share fostering experiences, answer questions and enroll people interested in volunteering.
