Mavericks edge Timberwolves in Game 1 of Western Conference finals

Game 1 of the Western Conference finals between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Dallas Mavericks was hotly contested and came down to the wire.

Luka Doncic led the way with 33 points, Kyrie Irving scored 24 of his 30 points in the first half, P.J. Washington Jr. added 13, and Daniel Gafford chipped in 10 as the Dallas Mavericks defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 108-105 on Wednesday evening, May 22, at Target Center.

Jaden McDaniels led the Timberwolves with 24 points. Anthony Edwards scored 19 points, Karl-Anthony Towns had 16, Naz Reid added 15, Ruby Gobert chipped in 12, and Kyle Anderson rounded up the double-digit scorers with 11.

Dallas leads the best-of-seven series 1-0.
