Napheesa Collier and Alanna Smith scored 15 points apiece, and Bridget Carleton and Kayla McBride each had 14, leading the Minnesota Timberwolves (3-1) to an 84-67 WNBA victory over the New York Liberty (3-1) Saturday afternoon, May 25, at Target Center.
The Lynx also got outstanding point guard play from Courtney Williams and Natisha Hiedeman. The Liberty were led by forward Breanna Stewart’s 20 points and 11 rebounds. Sabrina Ionescu had 13, Courtney Vandersloot added 12, and Leonie Fiebich chipped in 11.
The Lynx are off to one of their best starts and are developing into one of the league’s top teams.
