On Saturday, July 1, 2017, Darwin Dean sank his first “Hole in One.” He hit the shot at Troy Burne Golf Club’s Signature course from the Black Tee Box on hole #3 in Hudson, Wisconsin. Players in his group were Richard Marshall and Ted Tyler.
Dean used a seven iron to hit the ball 154 yards into the wind. The ball landed six feet from the pin and bounced into the cup. It was a perfect shot that he will always remember. Richard was the first to confirm he saw the ball in the hole. With that confirmation Dean jumped for joy. He thought the ball hopped into the cup, but from his point of view on the Tee Box, he was not sure until he saw the ball in the cup.
Congratulations, Darwin. We’ll see you at the Bronze Golf Tournament July 29, 2017 at Oneka Ridge golf course for your next perfect shot.
