
Tuesday, August 13, is Primary Day in Minnesota, the day voters determine which candidates from each party will be on the general election ballot come November.ย Are you ready to cast your ballot? If not, hereโs what you need to know.
Absentee ballots must be dropped off by 8 p.m. on Election Day at your local election offices (check with your city clerk for the address). Minneapolis residents can drop off their ballots at a Minneapolis early vote center or the Hennepin County Government Center at 300 6th Street South, Minneapolis.
On Primary Day, August 13, the polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
What to Do:
- Check your sample ballot.
- Find your polling place.
- You can still register at your polling place on Election Day if you’re not registered yet. For a list of acceptable proof of residence, visit mnvotes.gov.
