Hopkins is widely recognized for the Raspberry Festival, but its tradition of producing exceptional athletes rivals that legacy. From pro basketball players to Olympians and collegiate stars, Hopkins athletes continue to shine on national and international stages.

Nu Nu Agara
A former All-State basketball player, Nu Nu Agara is a key starter for the Stanford University women’s basketball team. She has been a crucial player in the Pac-12, showcasing her defensive prowess and ability to finish at the rim for the second straight season.

Amaya Battle
Amaya Battle, a former Miss Basketball of Minnesota finalist, chose to stay close to home and now starts as the point guard for the University of Minnesota. Known for her court vision and leadership, Battle is one of the Big Ten’s rising stars.

Taylor Woodson
Taylor Woodson, a former Hopkins standout and Miss Basketball of Minnesota finalist, is currently playing for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Unfortunately, her season came to an early end due to a knee injury, but she remains a key figure for the team moving forward.

Paige Bueckers
One of the greatest basketball players in Hopkins history, Paige Bueckers is in her senior year at the University of Connecticut. She is averaging 20.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4 assists per game this season. Nike recently honored her with her own basketball shoe, and she’s projected to be a first-round WNBA draft pick.

Amir Coffey
Amir Coffey, a Hopkins alum and former University of Minnesota basketball standout, is now averaging 10.6 points per game as a rotation player for the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA.

Nia Coffey
WNBA guard Nia Coffey plays for the Atlanta Dream. A former Hopkins star and McDonald’s All-American, she signed a two-year contract extension in 2024. Her defensive skills and three-point shooting have made her a reliable veteran in the league.

Zeke Nnaji
In his third NBA season with the Denver Nuggets, Zeke Nnaji continues to make an impact. He is averaging 4.2 points per game and has already won an NBA championship.

Boye Mafe
A Hopkins football legend, Boye Mafe is now a standout linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL. His 2024 season includes five consecutive games with a sack, adding to his career total of 17 quarterback sacks.

Joe Klecker
A former Hopkins and Colorado University track star, Joe Klecker is continuing his professional running career. Despite an injury that kept him out of the U.S. Olympic Trials, Klecker remains a force in distance running.

Joe Fahnbulleh
Olympian and Hopkins graduate Joe Fahnbulleh placed eighth in the 200-meter sprint at the Tokyo Olympics. As a two-time NCAA sprint champion at the University of Florida, he remains a key figure in U.S. track and field.

Liv McGill
Hopkins basketball standout Liv McGill was named a McDonald’s All-American and Miss Basketball of Minnesota finalist in 2024. She now plays for the University of Florida, continuing her basketball journey.

Anthony Smith
Anthony Smith, a senior at Hopkins High and Mr. Basketball of Minnesota candidate, led the Royals in scoring last season with 23 points per game. Known for his sharpshooting, he ranks second in the state for three-point makes.

Sydney Drevlow
Sydney Drevlow is one of the most accomplished endurance athletes in Lake Conference history. In 2024, she earned a state title in the 800-meter run at the Class AAA Girls Track Meet with a time of 2:10.24, adding to her impressive cross country and Nordic skiing achievements.

Avery Shaw
Avery Shaw’s all-around athletic excellence earned her recognition in soccer, hockey, and lacrosse in 2024, making her one of Hopkins High’s most versatile athletes.

Jayden Moore
A dual-sport star in basketball and football, Jayden Moore is rewriting the record books at Hopkins High. In his first year of football, he led the Royals in receiving, while on the basketball court, he averaged 19.2 points per game last season.

Tre Moore
The younger brother of Jayden Moore, Tre Moore made an immediate impact as a freshman quarterback for Hopkins football and as an eighth-grader on the varsity basketball team. His athleticism is paving the way for a bright future.

N’yah Symone Britt
Hopkins sophomore gymnast N’yah Symone Britt had an outstanding 2023-24 season, earning All-State and All-Lake Conference honors.

Logan Drevlow
Sophomore Nordic skier Logan Drevlow won the Minnesota state championship last season, solidifying his place among the best in the sport.

Lucy Johnson
Lucy Johnson, forward for the Hopkins-St. Louis Park girls hockey team, led the Royals with 14 goals and 13 assists during the 2024-25 season.

Weston Schenkelberg
Hopkins hockey star Weston Schenkelberg dominated the ice in the 2023-24 season, tallying 41 points on 29 goals and 12 assists.
