This week’s Fab Five photos help congratulate the Class 4A girls basketball champion Hopkins Royal and Class 3A title holder Benilde-St. Margaret’s Knights.

Hopkins

Erma Walker led the way with 28 points, leading the Royal to their ninth overall title defeating Maple Grove 81-67 before a capacity crowd at Williams Arena.

Jaliyah Diggs scored 15, London Harris and Maliyah White had 11 apiece, and Lauren Hillesheim added 10 for Hopkins.

The Royal — who defeated Wayzata in the Section 6 Championship game after losing to them twice in the regular season — are coached by former Minneapolis North standout Tara Starks.

Benilde-St. Margaret’s

Kendall McGee’s 17 points led the Knights to a 73-57 victory over Marshall, giving them their third consecutive state championship.

Teammate Zahara Bishop scored 14 of her 16 points in the second half while Sydney Friedly and Pressley Watkins each added 13.
