Motherhood and artistry often exist in separate worlds, but the Mamas Ignite Collective creative circles are proving they donโt have to. These monthly gatherings provide a space where mama artists can explore their creativity, connect with like-minded women, and embrace the healing power of art.
Held on the last Monday of every month, these sessions at The Legacy Building in Minneapolis offer an evening of artistic expression, performances, food, and deep discussions about the unique challenges and joys of being both a mother and an artist. Whether you’re a seasoned creative or just looking to reconnect with your artistic side, this is a place where you can share, learn, and grow.
What to expect
Each gathering includes:
- Live performances
- Shared meals
- Mini-workshops
- Discussions on motherhood, artistry, and identity
Participants are encouraged to engage in hands-on creative exploration, learn new artistic techniques, and experiment with different forms of expression. Limited childcare activities are available for mamas who need support while they create.
This space is especially designed for Black and POC mama artists, ensuring that cultural experiences and perspectives are honored and uplifted.
