The Minnesota Timberwolves got brilliant performances out of Anthony Ewards, Julius Randle, Jaden McDaniels, and Naz Reid, leading them to a dramatic 116-113 victory over the Los Angeles in Game 4 of the NBA Western Conference playoffs Sunday afternoon at Target Center taking a 3-1 lead in the best of seven series
Luka Doncic led the Lakers with 38 points, LeBron James followed with 27, Rui Hachimura had 23 and Austin Reaves added 17.
Los Angeles led 104-99 at 4:17 mark and appeared to be in control when Reidโs three-pointer made it 104-102.
A three-point play by Edwards gave Minnesota a 1:05-104 advantage at the 3:50 mark.
Hachimura responded with a three-pointer putting the Lakers up 107-105 with 3:30 left.
Reid netted another three-pointer giving his team a 108-107 lead and Donte DiVincenzo followed with a trey of his own making it a 1:11-107 advantage at the 2:07 mark.
Reavesโ three-point shot with 1:52 remaining made it a 11-110 ball game and Dorian Finney-Smithโs added one with 1:29 left giving them a 113-111 lead.
McDanielโs three-point play and two clutch free-throws by Edwards at the 10.7 mark sealed the victory.
Edwards led the Timberwolves with a game high 43 points. Randle had 25, McDaniels added 16, and Reid 12.
