
Photographer and visual storyteller Bianca Rhodes invites the community to experience the richness of Black life in Minnesota through her new exhibit, #MNBlackLife, on Wednesday, October 22, from 6 to 9 p.m. at 943 Payne Ave.
A Celebration of Black Joy and Everyday Brilliance
The exhibit captures the beauty, strength, and everyday moments that define the Black experience across Minnesota. Each image offers an intimate look at community, culture, and connection — a vivid reflection of joy, creativity, and resilience.
Guests will enjoy an evening surrounded by powerful visuals and uplifting energy, with refreshments provided by Epic Graze. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., giving attendees time to mingle, explore the collection, and connect with the artist.
Telling Our Own Stories
Rhodes’ photography continues the growing movement of Minnesota-based artists using their lens to tell authentic stories of Black life – centering not just struggle, but also love, laughter, artistry, and belonging. Her work stands as both celebration and affirmation, reminding audiences of the brilliance that thrives within Black Minnesota communities.
