DeLaSalle High School continued its strong run Friday night, overwhelming Kennedy High School with a decisive 91–50 win in a boys high school basketball matchup that was effectively decided before halftime.
The Islanders entered the game riding a two-game winning streak and showed no signs of slowing down. DeLaSalle set the tone early, racing out to a commanding lead and heading into the locker room up 60–20. The margin left little doubt about the outcome as the Islanders maintained control throughout the second half.
The win marked DeLaSalle’s third straight victory, a stretch in which the team has consistently outpaced opponents by wide margins. With the result, the Islanders improved to 9–2, reinforcing their position as one of the area’s more potent offensive teams.
For Kennedy, the loss extended a difficult stretch. The Eagles dropped to 7–10 overall, suffering their fifth consecutive defeat as they continue searching for momentum.
