Lutunji’s Palate Wins Best Food & Drink at Sister Spokesman Awards
Lutunji’s Palate was named first-place winner in the Food & Drink category at the inaugural Sister Spokesman Black Business Awards. The honor recognizes the business’s commitment to culturally rooted, mission-driven food and community care across Minnesota.
Sister Spokesman and the Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder marked a milestone in November with the first Annual Black Business Awards, celebrating Black-owned businesses across Minnesota for excellence, impact, and community leadership.
In the Food & Drink category, Lutunji’s Palate was named first-place winner.
The award was presented by Tracey Williams-Dillard and recognized the business for its deep commitment to nourishing both body and spirit through food rooted in culture, faith, and community care.

Owned by Lutunji Abram, Lutunji’s Palate has become known for its soul-centered approach to food and its focus on legacy-building during uncertain times. The recognition affirmed the business’s mission-driven work and its growing resonance within the community.
The Sister Spokesman Black Business Awards were created to spotlight Black entrepreneurship, economic leadership, and the essential role local businesses play in sustaining and uplifting Minnesota’s Black communities.
