Minneapolis South Wins TC Championship in 80–77 Thriller Over St. Paul Central
Minneapolis South captured the Twin City Championship with an 80–77 victory over St. Paul Central. Jamair Wright led the Tigers with 23 points and was named Most Valuable Player, helping secure South’s first TC title since 1962.
This week’s Fab Five photos highlight the Minneapolis South Tigers’ 80-77 victory over the St. Paul Central Minutemen in the Twin City (TC) Championship last Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers (19-8) were led by Jamair Wright, named Most Valuable Player, who scored 23 points. Laviance Gales, the game’s Most Outstanding Player, contributed 20 points, while Ramadan Ibrahim added 19, and Ridwan Ibrahim chipped in 16.
Elijah Moseman led St. Paul Central (24-3) with 27 points. Tesfaamlak Sturm contributed 18, and Etienne Reyes added 16.
This marks South’s first TC Championship victory since 1962, as Central, the defending champions, fell short in their bid for a repeat title.
