Minnesota K-Pop Connect Events Bring BTS Celebration and Dance Challenge to Twin Cities
K-Pop fans across Minnesota will have two opportunities to celebrate their favorite music and artists this weekend as Minnesota K‑Pop Connect hosts back-to-back community events in St. Paul and Bloomington.
The events highlight the growing popularity of K-Pop in the Midwest and create spaces where fans can connect through music, dance and shared fandom.
Bangtan Bash brings BTS celebration to St. Paul
The first event, Bangtan Bash, takes place Saturday, March 14 from noon to 6 p.m. at the Saint Paul RiverCentre.
The fan festival centers on the global K-Pop group BTS and its devoted fanbase known as ARMY, while welcoming supporters of all K-Pop artists.
Organizers say the event will feature a full day of activities including dance competitions, random play dance challenges, local performances, merchandise vendors, photocard trading, games, raffles and giveaways.
The gathering is designed to give fans a place to celebrate K-Pop culture while meeting other members of the community.
Random Dance Challenge heads to Mall of America
The celebration continues Sunday, March 15, with a K-Pop Random Dance Challenge at the Mall of America. The event will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Huntington Bank Rotunda.
Participants will hear popular K-Pop songs and jump into the dance floor when they recognize the choreography. Organizers say dancers of all experience levels are encouraged to participate, whether they know every move or simply want to cheer from the sidelines.
The event will also include raffles, giveaways and opportunities for fans to connect with others who share a love of K-Pop.
