Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity is hosting free monthly Homeownership Information Sessions starting June 17, offering prospective buyers a chance to learn about the program, eligibility requirements, the application process and available resources including the Advancing Black Homeownership initiative designed to close racial homeownership gaps in the Twin Cities.

If homeownership has been on your mind but you are not sure where to start, Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity wants to help you take that first step with confidence.

Starting this summer, Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity will host free monthly Homeownership Information Sessions, giving prospective buyers a chance to learn about the program, ask questions, and explore whether Habitat homeownership is the right path for them. Sessions are designed to walk you through the journey step by step in an open and welcoming environment.

What You Will Learn

Sessions will cover Habitat’s homeownership program and what makes it different, eligibility and qualification requirements, the application process and timeline, common myths and misconceptions about Habitat homeownership, and available resources and next steps.

Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity’s Homeownership Program provides an affordable path to buying your first home, with personalized support, financial coaching, down payment assistance, and guidance at every stage of the process. To qualify, applicants generally need to meet income and credit requirements, show steady employment, and be ready to partner with Habitat throughout the journey.
