Katrina Pross is a criminal justice reporter at Sahan Journal. Before joining Sahan, Katrina covered criminal justice at WFYI Public Media, Indianapolis’ NPR affiliate, through Report for America. There she reported extensively on juvenile justice issues and the intersection of mental health and the justice system. She also covered courts as a reporting fellow for the St. Paul Pioneer Press. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2020 with degrees in journalism and French. While in college, she was an editor at the student newspaper, the Minnesota Daily, and interned for various outlets including APM Reports and the Star Tribune.
Federal judge dismisses MPD consent decree
A federal judge dismissed the MPD federal consent decree, halting federal oversight of police reforms. Minneapolis officials say they will continue with the full slate of reforms despite the ruling.
